Christmas in Old Hong Kong. 
This illustration is inspired by Hong Kong's signature bamboo scaffolding. This illustration also celebrates the tradition of the amah 媽姐. During the colonial era, these fiercely independent women from the Shunde area were employed as live-in servants in wealthy households.

With her signature braided ponytail but dressed in a Santa inspired outfit, she scales the bamboo wall with a sack full of toys - perhaps for the children she cares for in her daily life.
